West Tenn Militia: Enlisted 20 Sep 1814 at Fayetteville Tn.;discharged 25 Apr
1815 at Wilson Springs Miss Terr.: On 29 Mar 1832 was commimsioned as Capt.in
62d Regt. Tenn Militia. A plantation owner came to Tenn before 1810 and lived
there until 1851. Then he moved to IL. and Mo. He was a Whig and Abolitionist.
He was a Methodist, a member of the Old Gideon Church at Greenbrier.
Sibert married Frances Bushrod Swift, daughter of Richard Swift and Katherine Moss, on 9 Mar 1810 in Robertson County, Tennessee. (Frances Bushrod Swift was born on 6 Feb 1791 in Caswell County, North Carolina, died on 13 Sep 1865 in Marion County, Illinois and was buried in Shook Cemetery, Marion County, Illinois.)
