" Not much is known as to dates on Bennett. He was born in Maryland and remains in the land records until 1796. He sold his inherited land to Thomas Yates in 1753. In 1762 he owns 150 acres in Maryland. He is in the 1790 census and is in the Tax records until 1796. 4 of his children's baptisms are listed by Father Walten which indicates that his family was Catholic."

Bennett married Monica Wathen in Maryland. (Monica Wathen died before 14 Jan 1791 in Saint Mary's County, Maryland.)
