John's wife is named as Mary and children as John, Peter, Henry and Mary in his will. In 1656, Mary M. Jarboe recorded a gift "unto Mrs. Ann Hammonds youngest child, I being his God-mother" indicating that they were married by this date. Lt. Col. John Jarboe was named as "brother" in the will of William Tattershall in 1670.
