Isaac moved with his parents to Sumner County Tennessee in 1795. In 1797 Isaac was ordered by the court to enter bond for $500.00 for the support of the bastard child that he had fathered with Mary Garrison. He was also fined 6.25 for this crime as it was illegal to father a child and not be married. His brother Samuel and his father served as securitors of this bond. In 1802 Isaac appeared in the tax rolls in Captain John Gwins Company. In 1803 Isaac had moved to Robertson County Tennessee where he and his uncle the Reverend Joseph Dorris were sued by John Wilson. They lost the case and were ordered to pay $250.00. Isaac had moved back to Sumner County in the late 1830's. They stayed there for a short time before departing to Illinois. Before they left for Illinois they sold their interest in the remaining part of the estate of Elizabeths father, John McIntosh of Robertson County for 150 dollars to Richard W. Mantlo. Elizabeth's share of her fathers estate was one seventh, indicating she had six siblings. Isaac first moved to Adams Co. Illinois, but his stay there was very brief. He was in Marion County Illinois by 1839 where he purchased 40 acres in Section 25 of Centralia Township about a half a mile from Walnut Hill.
Isaac married Elizabeth McIntosh in 1803 in Robertson County, Tennessee. (Elizabeth McIntosh was born in 1780 in Tennessee.)
