  General Notes:

Grady was paying close to a brush fire and her dress caught fire. By the time her mother Mattie got to her she was fully engulfed in flames. Grady had third degree burns on most of her body and died an agonizing death a couple of days after the fire. Mattie grieved over Grady the rest of her life. Mattie use to keep a locket of Grady's hair in a small box.
