Written: July 28, 1852

I Cornelius Westerfield Sr being low in health but of disposing mind and memory
do make and establish the following my last will and testament viz first it is
my will that all my debts be paid Secondly that after all my debts are paid
that all of my remaining property of every kind should belong to my wife during
her natural life of widowhood and at her death to be equally divided between my
children.

Ohio County Court Sept 6, 1852

This last will and testament of Cornelius Westerfield decd was produced in
court proved by the oaths of D G Ford and E F Smith subscribing witnesses
thereto and ordered to be recorded which is done and there upon on motion of
J B Stevens who took the oath required by law and with J B Bennett and
James Baird his securities entered into bond the penalty of $200 conditioned
according to law a certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of
administration with the will annexed of the estate of C Westerfield decd in due
form.

Cornelius married Elizabeth (Betsy) Bruce, daughter of James Bruce and Mary Runyan, on 13 Jun 1802 in Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky. (Elizabeth (Betsy) Bruce was born on 27 Oct 1786 in Elizabeth, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and died after 1860.)
