George Ashby I
George was the High Sheriff of the county of Leicester in 1601. He inherited Quenby Manor upon the death of his father in 1588. Family holdings reached a total of 1900 acres of land. Quenby Hall was built in 1627.
George married Mary Gedney about 1580. (Mary Gedney was born in 1555.) |
