Marriage Notes:
May 19, 2002: GRO(S) Index, Scots Civil Register of Marriages: Coubrough, Malcolm Andrew Christie, Margaret Temple, 1900, Calton, Lanark, Parish # 644/4, Entry # 0290.
There is the possibility that Malcolm and Margaret were cousins of some sort. The index gives Margaret's middle name as Temple, but I don't know if that was really her name. It may have been Templeton and was truncated by size of the index database space, as several other names were.
The 1901 British census was conducted in April. Every page contained this header. Those items which did not apply were supposed to have a line drawn through them, but they were often just left blank. In the transcripts which follow, any items left blank in the original have not been entered.

Also on every page were the following column headings, which are represented here by numbers as there wasn't room write them all out. The columns labelled "No. of Schedule;" "Road, Street, &c., and No. or Name of House" and "Rooms with one or more windows" are at the beginning of each entry to save space as there was only one entry per family in each column. The columns headed "Gaelic or G. & E." and "Whether: 1. Deaf and Dumb. 2. Blind. 3. Lunatic, Imbecile, or Idiot 4. Feeble-minded" rarely had entries for any of the Coubroughs. When they did, it is noted at the end the entry.

Myrna's notes: Malcolm and Margaret don't seem to have had any children, though there is the possibility that Margaret's death in 1902 was in childbirth. Malcolm and Margaret lived in the same town as Malcolm's brother, James and his wife, Agnes, though they may not have been nearby; 14 pages and 40 or 50 other houses separate them in the census.
