Violet Marie Inkenbrandt, 87, of Evansville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2009. She was born May 10, 1922.
Violet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved gardening, poetry, reading and journaling. She was a member of the Life in Abundance Full Gospel Church.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Albion C. Inkenbrandt; daughters, Loretta Arrigo and husband, Chuck, and Margaret Martin and husband, Patrick; sons, Alan Inkenbrandt and wife, Joan, John Inkenbrandt and fiancee, Lisa Butts, and Walter Inkenbrandt; grandchildren, Dean, Gary and Bret Arrigo, Jessica Chismar, Alan L. and Aaron Inkenbrandt, Amanda VanNess, Jamie Huffine, Lori Watson, Jennifer Thompson, Jake Inkenbrandt, Adam and David Martin, Ann Reich, Emily and Dana Inkenbrandt; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Catherine Vanderhoof and her identical twin, Vivian Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mamie Huffman, three brothers, John Huffman, Bernard Huffman and William Huffman, four sisters, Margaret Ebmeier, Thelma Jones, Isabelle Moore and Mary Batsch, and sons, Charles and Martin Inkenbrandt.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, at the funeral home, with Brother Tracy Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
