  General Notes:

Am totally unsure of the accuracy of the children of this man. Have heard he was possibly married up to 3 times and have even seen it said that Mary A. Shawler was his daughter, not wife, by an unknown mother. Obviously, much about this man's children & wives need to be sorted out.

Richard married Mary A Shawler, daughter of Anthony Shawler and Elizabeth Johnson, on 11 Apr 1850 in Bullitt County, Kentucky. (Mary A Shawler was born on 13 Feb 1829 in Kentucky and died on 5 Nov 1906 in Deatsville, Kentucky.)
