Cader and Her had eight children and two grandchildren living at home in Butler County with them in 1900. Nancy "Nanny" was already gone by then. Nancy was one year old during the 1880 Butler County Census.

Cader was in the Civil War and served in the "Middle Green River Battalion", Company C. He enlisted toward the end of the war on April 20, 1865 and was mustered out on Sept. 17, 1865 in Bowling Green.

Cause of Death: Pneumonia
