" Walter was the son of Samuel Jarboe and Elizabeth Lewis . He was born in Breckinridge Co, KY and lived in and around Hardinsburg most of his life. He was in the Civil War and fought for the North in Co B, 27th KY Volunteer Infantry, from Oct 1861 to Mar 1865. Being in the siege of Atlanta, he was falling off of an breast work and later was able to draw a pension for his efforts there.

Walter was married 3 times. His first wife was Harriet F Beaven. They were married on Oct 24, 1866. She was born in Meade Co, KY, on Dec 20, 1834. They had one child : Emily Gertrude Jarboe b: Apr 22, 1868. Never recovered from childbirth, Harriet died Sept 1868.

He next married Prudence Ann Bland, she was born: Sept 17, 1839, Breckinridge Co, KY. They wed at her fathers house in Hardinsburg on Feb 6, 1871. He was a farmer at this time. ( Walter and Prudence were first cousins, her parents were Samuel Bland and Sarah Rebecca (Jarboe) Bland. Prudence died in 1906.

Walter then married Rosa Triplett, on Jan 12, 1910 in Cloverport, KY. He abandoned Rosa after 6 months and is next found in the " Old Soldiers and Sailors" Home in Danville, Illinois. He is buried in National Cemetery there."

Walter married Harriet F Beaven on 24 Oct 1866. (Harriet F Beaven was born on 20 Dec 1834 in Meade County, Kentucky and died in Sep 1868.)

Walter next married Prudence Ann Bland, daughter of Samuel James Bland and Sarah Rebecca Jarboe, on 6 Feb 1871 in Hardinsberg, Breckinridge County, Kentucky. (Prudence Ann Bland was born on 18 Sep 1839 in Breckenridge County, Kentucky and died on 14 Jun 1906 in Hardinsberg, Breckinridge County, Kentucky.)

Walter next married Rosa Triplett.
