single, deceased by 1/11/1700 when his inventory was taken (20: 143), on 3/17/1704 HENRY JARBOE administered his estate valued at £7:13:06 (Acc't 8B:8)
Greetings again from Baltimore: Hi Jerry, I was just reviewing your entries on the Joy family. I shared this info with Linda Reno earlier and may not have shared it with you. Regarding Charles Joy: mentioned in the will of Robert Goldsberry Probated 1756 in SMC, MD. (The will states that Charles Joy "Entermarried" with a "Daughter of mine". The early digest of the SMC wills mentions Charles "Enter" as a son-in-law of Robert GOldsberry. What a laugh I had when I saw the film Roll with the will on it and discovered Charles Joy.) Charles received his portion of the estate at the time of marriage, therefore Charles received nothing in the estate. THe Daughter is not named. Charles held lands in Beaverdam Manor as did Robert Goldsberry. Peter and Elizabeth are later mentioned as godparents of GOldsberry children in St Francis Xavier parish records. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Rick Horman
